Blackberry + Vanilla Chia Jam {vegan, Raw, Paleo, Sugar-Free}

Ingredients

  • Blackberries, 1 + 1/2 cups
  • 3 tablespoons honey or maple syrup
  • 1 teaspoon vanilla
  • Chia seeds, 1 + 1/2 tsp.

Instructions

  • Rinse and dry the berries before putting them in a pot.
  • Combine the maple syrup or honey with the vanilla extract.
  • Bring to a gentle boil, then turn off the heat.
  • Allow the berries to gently boil for 5-7 minutes, or until they are slightly dissolved.
  • Continue to heat for another 2-3 minutes after adding the chia seeds.

  • The jam should have a slightly thick consistency, coating the back of a spoon.
